Last year at the Paris Motor Show, Ssangyong showed off a concept CUV called the C200, and it's reportedly getting close to production. Despite the sorry state of affairs at the Korean automaker, a slightly revised version of the crossover will be shown at the upcoming Seoul Motor Show. Like the previous concept, the C200 will use a 175-horsepower, 2.0-liter diesel engine that's reportedly Euro V emissions compliant.

There isn't a ton of new information since we first spoke about it last July, but Kia has released the first "official" image of the upcoming 2010 Kia Sorento. As reported earlier, the SUV's body-on-frame platform has been dumped in favor of a unibody platform. This will improve the ride at the expense of towing capacity and off-road ruggedness, but should pay dividends in terms of ride, handling and fuel economy. The cross-pollination among General Motors worldwide operations continues. The Seoul Motor Show features the fourth variant of General Motors' Kappa platform and the third based on the Saturn Sky. The new GM Daewoo G2X is a rebadged edition of the Sky and Opel Speedster. The car being shown in Seoul uses the turbocharged 2.0L direct injected engine from the Sky Red Line. So far, there's no word from GM on when the G2X will be available in South Korean showrooms.

In the not-too-distant past, many of the Korean automaker designs were so lame that you had to put a pretty girl in the foreground for most people to even look at them. Times have changed, and Korean design has advanced to the point where the need has waned to employ hundreds of pretty models at the upcoming Seoul Motor Show in South Korea.
