The ProMaster gets more bodystyles and capabilities

Roughly 323,000 vehicles will be recalled for an insufficient crimp in a wire harness that could lead to a loss of power.

Mopar has a bevy of aftermarket vehicles for its huge display area at SEMA this year, including an all-wheel drive concept for the Dodge Challenger and a meaner Ram 1500 Rebel.

We take to FCA's Chelsea, MI proving grounds to sample the entire Ram range, towing everything from 2,000 pounds to a CDL-requiring, 31,000-plus pounds.

The 2006 Jeep Wrangler and Liberty, as well as the Dodge Viper, represent of the bulk of the vehicles being recalled.

We've already dropped our First Drive of Ram's new entry in the light-commercial van segment, the ProMaster City. Now we go back for a quick second look; this time focusing on the five-passenger Wagon instead of the cargo variant.

Ford and Nissan have been scrapping for market share in the very hot small commercial van segment, and now Ram wants in on the party. The 2015 Ram ProMaster City hopes to one-up its main competitors in key categories, making the best do-everything business vehicle in the process. Read on to find out how it fares.

UPDATE: Comparing the disparate specification levels on commercial vehicles especially can be bewildering, but as Ram spokesman Nick Cappa points out, the ProMaster City is only offered in long-wheelbase form (unlike the Ford Transit Connect, for example, that starts in short-wheelbase spec). Just which model is the better bargain, then, is up to each customer to decide.
