PARIS - The third-placed Vaillant Rebellion car driven by Brazilian Nelson Piquet Junior, Denmark's David Heinemeier Hansson and Switzerland's Mathias Beche has been disqualified from the Le Mans 24 Hours standings after technical checks. The second tier LMP2 team intended to appeal, organizers added on Monday -- a day after the race finished at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Following Brammo's big Polaris deal comes more good news for the electric motorcycle maker. After evaluating the Brammo Enertia for over a year, the Hong Kong government has decided it likes the machines and will now begin replacing its older gas-burners used by some of its agencies with electrics.

The Brammo Enertia has attempted a few things no other electric motorcycle ever has. It's turned the traditional sales model on its head by way of gaining distribution through the electronics retailer Best Buy rather than motorcycle shops. It's gone on a lengthy road trip in a quest to reach an audience with the POTUS. It (with a few modifications) placed 3rd in the Isle of Man TTXGP race last summer. Now comes word that the commuter powercycle may be going kung fu fighting.
