Blame it on our Rust Belt sensibilities, but we can't think of anything cooler than rally cars racing full-bore around a steel mill. The video after the jump is about as heavy metal as it gets, and the gritty action is coming to your television in a new Speed TV series called Battle Cross. The steel mill pilot shown here – airs on November 17 at 10 pm Eastern. That's this Thursday, kids, so set your DVR now, or ask your parents for permission to stay up late.

The spot's months old, but that doesn't make it any less entertaining. It shows Team Mopar's Samuel Hubinette piloting the Charger drift car into, through, and out of an airplane hangar. What's particularly cool is that you can follow the tire marks on the ground from previous takes and/or practice runs as the car does its thing. The superscript at the bottom of the screen as it begins reads "Closed Course. Professional Driver. Do Not Attempt."
Amidst the hoopla surrounding the release of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Universal Studios held a Drift Party in its parking lot where Dodge quietly parked its Mopar-powered Charger drift car that will eventually be driven in the Formula D professional drift series by Samuel Hubinette.
