Aston Martin chief says it's inevitable that 007's car will one day be powered by electricity.
Ford is giving the public at large a chance to jump behind the wheel of its upcoming 2013 Focus ST. The company is hosting a slew of consumer driving events around the country where consumers will be able to take the wheel for a little driving training and timed laps on an autocross course. The tour starts on June 30 in New York before moving on to Washington, D.C., Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Each event starts at 9am. and features a full day of getting cozy with the new sport hatch.

Last we checked, Road Atlanta was a famed professional 2.54-mile racetrack, not an oversized autocross layout on a training skidpad. Somebody may need to remind Mini USA, as the maker of famously small cars has just announced the "track" (their word, not ours) for its overly-publicized "Rumble on the Racetrack" (their title, not ours) challenge pitting the Mini Cooper S against the race-bred Porsche 911 Carrera S.

O'Neil, a Detroit-area coffee shop owner, decided to attempt a record-breaking charity event that would assist, support, and call attention to the American auto worker.
Next weekend, the Riverside International Auto Museum will host the Legends of Riverside film festival, gala and general car show-off. In addition to a tribute to Paul Newman and screenings of Winning, Le Mans, and The Making of Le Mans, folks like Dan Gurney, Bob Bondurant, Peter Brock, Brock Yates, and Pete Lyons will be there chatting up all those four-wheeled-things that go fast. From October 22 to 27, the International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (more commonly known by its French acronym, FISITA) will hold the 31st World Automotive Congress in Yokohama, Japan. The purpose of the event is to "promote the international exchange of information between automotive engineers, industry, government, academia, environmental and other relevant organizations."
