Audi has stayed quiet about its Sport Quattro Concept since the 700-horsepower, tangerine rocket debuted at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show – a followup to Quattro Concept shown at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Now, Audi has broken the plug-in hybrid out to give thanks to its Facebook fans, which now number over 100,000 strong (103,123 as of this writing).

Monday at Apple's WWDC keynote, VP of iOS software, Scott Forstall, made the announcement that Apple will finally be getting involved with the auto industry. It has been a long time coming. Many automakers have already tried to persuade the big fruit to collaborate on in-car tech, but it was always rumored that Apple wasn't interested. But now, it seems they have changed their minds and want to make their Siri voice recognition software the focus of in-car control.

Those four rings aren't just good for clever ads. Audi AG recently announced it was using its corporate power to start a new environmental foundation that aims to bring together all of the company's "worldwide environmental measures." Audi endowed the new foundation with €5 million, which should be enough to put at least a little bit of green sheen on the cars like the 525 hp 2010 Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 V10.
