The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a recall for 374 examples of the 2012-2014 model year MP4-12C due to a faulty wiper that could fail in muggy climates.

McLaren has announced that it will debut the 2013 MP4-12C at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. McLaren has confirmed the rumored improvements to its 2013 MP4-12C, which we can now refer to as the "616-horsepower British exotic." The revised model carries a $239,400 base price in the U.S., which does not include $2,400 in destination charges.
McLaren will reportedly be offering a handful of upgrades for the 2013 model year MP4-12C supercar. Car and Driver reports that the most significant upgrade is a power bump – 25 horsepower – which now brings the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8's total output to a screaming 618 hp.
