Police in London are looking for leads on a car thief sliced who was filmed slicing open a Porsche 911's soft-top in an attempt to steal it.

Porsche knows that to keep up, a model has to keep evolving. For the latest 2015 evolution of the Cayenne Turbo S on display at the Detroit Auto Show, it now packs integral turbos housed directly in the exhaust manifolds. The move allows power to grow to 562 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, while shedding a half-second off the sprint to 60. The German brand also claims that the improved version can lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in a blink less than eight minutes.

The new Macan may be getting all the attention lately, but Porsche hasn't forgotten about its larger crossover – the one that put it on the map in 2002 and on the road to profitability, with over half a million sold so far. So to keep the Cayenne at the top of its game, Porsche has announced several key upgrades for the 2015 model.

Thieves carried out what appears to be a movie-script-perfect robbery of a bank in Sydney, Australia late on Friday morning, using two stolen high-performance vehicles in the process.

For any of our European readers who like the Cayenne Diesel but who have been holding out for a higher-power formula, good news has arrived. Porsche has confirmed earlier rumors by announcing that a more powerful diesel version of its Cayenne SUV will debut at the Paris Motor Show later this month.

The second coming is finally here, and it goes by the title of the 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS. Porsche has put 20 more horses under the hood to bring matters to 420 horsepower, and to get more out of them it has lowered the chassis a further 20 mm and installed a lower final-drive ratio. The one unkind note: whereas the first GTS was available with a six-speed manual, this one is fitted exclusively with Porsche's eight-speed Tiptronic S paddleshift gearbox.

Qatar's police force has a sizable fleet of Porsche Panamera and Cayenne patrol vehicles at its disposal. How is this? Well, Qatar has lots of oil, for starters, so there's that income. The emirate also holds a 17 percent stake of preferential shares in the Volkswagen Group. So, it's not particularly hard to see how the stable of luxo-cop cars came to be. The force took them for a spin on December 18, Qatar National Day, and you can get a look at the coolest fleet in the video after the jump.
