JAMES RISWICK: This is James Riswick for Autoblog. I'm on the beautiful northern California coast. And this is the 2018 Genesis G80 Sport. Going to show you some of the visual differences between the sport and the regular version. They're most noticeable up front. You have three air intakes in the lower fascia, which is more aggressive now, as opposed to in the regular Genesis G80, it's just one big strip along the bottom. And then, in terms of the grill, you have this mesh in here, whereas it is horizontal bars in the regular car.

However, the trim is a big differentiator in this car. Instead of chrome or alloy, there is both a bronzy color and a copper colored trim. And you can best see it right here in the grill. This would be your bronzy color. And then you can see the copper right here. And they both travel throughout the car. So there is the bronze right there. And then in the headlights, you can actually see both. So you have the bronzy color here. And then the Genesis emblem right there in the copper.

And it carries on around here to these exclusive wheels to the Genesis Sport. And then you can see there's the copper center cap. That bronze also goes along the bottom. So it's certainly an interesting choice, stylistically. And it looks pretty good in bright sunlight. It's more of a subtle effect. But in overcast conditions like this, it kind of awkwardly stands out. I'm not sure if it works that well, especially on this lighter blue color.

Now let's take a look at what's different around the back. There aren't as many differences around the back. There are darkened tail lights. You have a reshaped lower bumper, more prominently displayed quad tailpipes. Now you also have the now ubiquitous rear diffuser. And then there's no sport badging, but rather, calls out the 3.3 liter turbo V6. Good for 365 horsepower and 376 pound feet of torque.

An HTRAC indicates that this particular car has all-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive is standard. There are differences inside as well. Most of them have to do with, again, copper detailing. You have them in the clock, and then in the stitching, all here in the leather, on the doors, here on the steering wheel. You also have it underlaid beneath the leather. So you can actually see it through the perforations of the leather.

Other differences include, well, you have carbon fiber trim here, and you have this great three-spoke steering wheel. Not only does it look good, but it feels really good in your hands. In terms of feature content, if it's available on a G80, it's standard on this car. Everything you see here is what you'll get. So you have wireless smart phone charging, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof. Everything. It's included. So that's what you're getting with the Genesis G80 Sport versus the regular one.
