I love my Aviator, I have 196,000 (not a typo) and hope I can drive it another 100,000. The drivers side rear door power window does not work, I replaced the transmission at 130,000. A power steering pump went out about a year ago, everything else works great. Lots of power, great ride, looks good. I change the oil every 5000, it was 1/4 qt. down at the last change. I park the car outside everynight in So. Cal,paint still looks great. Some of the shinny black trim has ********* luster.
Do not buy an Aviator

Good riding vehicle, nice interior and good mechanically. BUT terrible electronically. All sort of things went wrong with both the 2003 and 2004 I owned. Back window would open up for no reason as would the sun roof. Anything electrical could and would go wrong. The dealer always said they had never heard of the problems and they "could not reproduce tem". This inspite of the web sites regarding the Aviator telling about all these problems.

the 2003 aviator is a true lincoln. a very nice luxurious suv.Interior does not deteriorate as some other suv's are prone to. my personal vehicle is over 80000 miles of trouble free driving. One drawback comes when high voltage headlite burns out.Replacement bulb is over $150.00 and generally out of stock. $150.00 still is not bad for 5 years.
