Yesterday I wrote that we had just purchased the 2016 ESV three weeks ago, she only has 735 miles. There is vibration and rattling in the dash area behind the CUE. And the sunroof has something rattling around up there. If Cadillac doesn't like the truth, then how can expect to improve the product? Lets see if this note gets deleted too. Bottom line being that you charge a ton for inferior quality, workmanship. Take lessons from LEXUS, MBZ who do have a loyal customer base!! Build it right the first time.

This will be our third ESV within 15 years. After the first two we purchased a Mercedes GL450. The GL450 had tremendous power and handling ability over the previous ESV which were very sluggish with body roll & the older ESV didn't seem to hold up interior wise with kids etc. After a test drive of the new Platinum ESV we were pleasantly surprised by the increase in horse power and the magnetic ride control. The ESV handels flawlessly and also carries sophisticated elegance and comfortable seating. We also looked at the GMC, and Land Rover. We choose the ESV because of the comfort in ride and easy accessibility for kids, luggage etc. So far we are averaging 17.5 MPG highway (70-75) & 16.6 MPG in the city.

Cadillac Escalade ESV - King of Sport Utility Vehicles

You will not find a better SUV than the Cadillac Escalde ESV period! Before this purchase, we owned three GMC Yukons and with last Yukon being the XL Denali. Even though we were happy with each of our GMC vehicles, until we got the Escalde we didn't know what we were missing. The handling on the ESV compares to smaller cars. From the handling, you can not tell you are driving such a large vehicle. As far as room, I can't think of a single vehicle that has more space and interior and comfort is uncomparable to ANY vehicle. Seven persons can travel in extreme comfort with plenty of rear space for cargo also. There is about three feet of storage area behind the third row bench seat. The Platinum Edition comes with an assortment of goodies to include heated AND cooled front and second row seats, heated and cooled cup holders for front and second row passengers, additional wood grain appointments, 20 inch wheel standard, etc. This vehicle has 39,000 miles and to date, we have had absolutely no problems. We have replaced the Navigation Disc with a new one, not because it needed it mechanically but because we wanted a three year newer updated version. I really can't say enough about the Escalade ESV, I just wish we would have purchased one years ago. They are pricey but there is a lot of demand for the used Escaldes especially the ones with the Platinum Edition so you do get a decent partial return on your initial investment.

It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

I have found the ESV to be the best available full-size luxury SUV available. I am currently driving my second. The ESV provides all the comfort and extras - heated steering wheel, seats, mirrors. Onstar downloads driving directions to the GPS based navigations system (can send them from mapquest too). The entertainment system is outstanding. The powertrain is effortless and always ready with more than enough power. The E85 Flexfuel option gives the engine an extra octain boost. When ever I offer to drive for Scout or school outings, all the kids want to ride in the ESV. Taking long vacation trips in this car is relaxing and we have enough space to bring the kitchen sink. Throw a trailer hitch bike rack on back and take 4 family bikes and I still don't notice the load. In the winter, the ESV is strong. The traction control and all wheel drive system performs so quick that I always feel confident. When you see an ESV passing you on the snowy streets, its not because they are careless, its because the ESV CAN. Its five stars all the around.
