LS Rear-Wheel Drive Passenger Van
2021 GMC Savana 2500

The GMC rear-wheel drive Savana 2500 passenger and cargo vans provide a rugged and durable means of transporting several passengers or a large payload of cargo. The GMC Savana passenger van comes in mid-duty 2500 Series and heavy-duty 3500 Series models. There are also regular (135-inch) and extended (155-inch) wheelbase versions, with seating space for eight, 12 or 15 people. Towing is also a strength for the Savana models, with trailer ratings ranging up to 10,000 pounds. There are three different engines offered in the Savana vans. Most models are equipped with either a 4.3L V6 that makes 276 horsepower and 298 lb.-ft of torque or a 6.6L V8 making 401 horsepower and 464 lb.-ft. For those needing the most hauling power in a gasoline engine, the 2.8L turbo charged 4-cylinder makes 181 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. Across the entire lineup, the Savana comes with a 31-gallon fuel tank. All 2500 and 3500 models come with a heavy-duty 6-speed or an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, auxiliary power outlets, a driver information center and an AM/FM radio. Sierra buyers are also offered plenty of choices when it comes to the tech in their new vehicle. GMC?s ProGrade Trailering system features fifteen camera views to help keep an eye on things behind the truck, even counting a class exclusive transparent trailer view among its features. The available heads up display on the Sierra HD is massive, measuring 15-inches across, while the rear-view mirror can be switched between displaying an actual mirror and the view from the rearward facing camera. GM claims their MultiPro tailgate is the world?s first six-function tailgate. In practice that means it?s easy to load things into and out of the back of the truck, while also providing a ton of utility options for carrying loads with the tailgate dropped. It also has a built-in step to make it easier to climb in and out of the bed of the truck. For 2021, the GMC Savana receives several updates including a new 6.6L V8 gasoline engine option which is replacing the former 6.0L V8 Vortec engine. The Communication package, Safety package, Enhanced Convenience package include the more powerful V8 engine. The 4.3L V6 engine models see an increase in their gross combined weight rating.
