The BMW 7-series is the flagship of BMW sedans. Now in its sixth generation, the 7-series advances technology and construction techniques to a new level. The 745e xDrive is powered by a direct-injection, 3.0-litre TwinPower turbo inline 6-cylinder engine and an eDrive electric motor, which combined produce a system output of 391-hp. The 745e can also be plugged in to charge the 12 kWh on-board battery, which will allow for approximately TBA miles of all-electric driving at up to TBA mph. Standard luxury features include four-zone automatic climate control, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, high-gloss wood trim, heated power leather seats, voice-activated navigation system on a 10.3-inch color touchscreen, gesture control, wireless cellphone charging, power trunk lid, HD radio, Apple CarPlay, Comfort Access and four-corner air suspension. Safety features include standard run-flat tires on 18-inch alloy wheels, Parking Assistant Plus, lane departure assistance, blind spot detection, adaptive LED headlights with high-beam assistant, adaptive LED brakelights, BMW Assist emergency and information communications as well as extensive use of CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) in the structure of the vehicle for greater passenger safety and decreased weight. High-tech options include surround-view cameras, head-up display, dual LCD screens for rear seat entertainment, a rear tablet controller and a Sky Lounge LED roof. For 2021, the BMW 7-series introduces a refreshed exterior that resembles the rest of the luxury automakers lineup. The interior also receives an update which includes technology and passive safety features.
