The MINI E Countryman is the brand?s first ever plug-in hybrid model, combining characteristic MINI driving fun and versatility with sustainable, emissions-free eDrive technology. The four-door E Countryman is available as a Cooper S ALL4 all-wheel drive variant. A 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine and a synchronous electric motor combine to generate a total system output of 221 horsepower, with an all-electric range of approximately 18 miles. A six-speed automatic transmission with driver-selectable MINI Driving Modes is standard. Trim specific standard equipment includes 18-inch aluminum wheels, a power sunroof, High Beam Assist automatic high-beams, LED headlights, daytime running and front fog lights, heated sport bucket front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, an AM/FM/HD radio that's satellite ready, Bluetooth, a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, MINI Intelligent Emergency Call and MINI Connected smart device integration. Safety features such as eight airbags, a rear view camera, Rear Park Distance Control, Automatic Emergency Braking forward collision mitigation, pedestrian detection prevention and 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist are all standard. A Driver Assistance Package is available that adds additional safety equipment such as Active Cruise Control, a Parking Assistant and MINI Head-up Display. The 2020 E Countryman gets a bigger battery which adds 6 miles to the all-electric range.
