2019 Honda Clarity Electric
The Honda Clarity Electric is the second part of Honda's Clarity series that aims to offer customers an array of electrified powertrain choices in one spacious and comfortable sedan. The Clarity Electric is powered by a 161-hp electric motor and a 25.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be recharged in approximately three hours from a 240 volt source or 80 percent charge in thirty minutes on DC fast charging. The range is rated at 89 miles by the EPA. The Clarity seats five passengers and includes the full suite of Honda Sensing safety features including lane departure warning, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. It also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights and rear lights, 18-inch aerodynamic aluminum wheels, dual-zone climate control, rain sensing wipers, 8-way power driver seat with memory, leather seat trim, heated front seats, an 8-speaker audio system with Bluetooth streaming, voice activated navigation system with live traffic and many more creature comforts. The Clarity Electric remains unchanged for 2019 and will only be available for lease in California and Oregon.
