The worst Acura I have ever owned

The engine is under-powered, infotainment system is a mess. It freezes, loses connection, ergonomics are terribly over engineered. Big miss by the Acura folks. Stay away from this car, there are too many better options out there.

Transmission failed

Brand new RDX. Barely got it home and the transmission failed and requires replacement. If the rest are like mine, the 2019 RDX may have serious transmission problems!

Jerky transmission at low temperature, low speed

Looks like I’m not the only one who sensed rough transmission transition at low speed. I believe 2019 RDX has a serious transmission problem. I have a base model. The problem that I noticed is that when leaving my place in the morning with the temperature gauge stuck at the lowest position, the vehicle jerks when switching the gear to upper ones at low speed. As the temperature gauge bar appears as it’s warmed up, the abrupt transition of transmission becomes much smoother. I tried warming up for 5 minutes before leaving and the problem was not observed. So this vehicle requires warming up as most of vehicles in 80s or 90s did. But remember you're buying a so-called luxury vehicle paying more than 40 grand in 2019. This is really hard to reproduce at dealer because by the time I arrive at dealer, the vehicle is already warmed up. Another issue is this 2019 RDX is gas greedy, usually I can get a little less than 23 mile/gallon but it requires 92 octane recommended. When I'm spending more money for high-end version and more gas with higher priced octane gas, at least I didn't expect rattling or jerking of rough transmission transition. Look for Honda CR-V or Toyota Rav, they are much cheaper, and best of all, ride is much smoother.

Awesome vehicle

I got my RDX a week ago and I love it. Steering is perfect in sports mode, suspension is tight and the brakes have a ton of power and inspire confidence. Touch pad took time to get use to but I think I figured it out Wish Android Auto was available when I purchased but was told it coming
