The Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid is an understated hybrid with all the utility buyers demand in the compact crossover segment. The Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid is powered by a 104-hp 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed auto-shift manual transmission and an electric motor which produce a combined 139-hp and a range of 560 miles. Standard features include 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, a liftgate, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, SiriusXM satellite radio, Pandora internet radio, Bluetooth, a 7-inch touchscreen display, real-time weather display and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. Safety features such as seven airbags, a rear view camera, a tire specific low tire pressure warning system and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and hill hold control, Smart Cruise Control (SCC), UVO eServices 911 Connect, a Lane Keeping Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Pedestrian Detection and Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS) are all standard while the EX trims also add Blind Spot Detection (BSD) w/Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RTCA).
