2017 Grand Cherokee Owner Reviews (2)
Chrysler has the worst customer service ever!
On August 17, 2016 I purchased a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and within 24 hrs. and only 70 miles on the vehicle it broke down and needed to go back to the dealership with transmission issues. The dealer told me it was the valve body which I researched online and discovered this has been an ongoing issue with Jeep Grand Cherokees since the 2016 model. Some people posted that they had replaced theirs 4 to 5 times within the first year of having the vehicle. Chrysler notified my dealership that the parts were on back order and would not be available until 9/7/16. This made me very unhappy as well as nervous that I purchased a âlemonâ and would continue to have issues with the vehicle for years to come. I requested the dealership to give me a different vehicle being they had another one on the lot in the exact same color and with similar options to the one I originally purchased but was told that decision would need to be made by Chrysler *********** to help in any way. My dealer (Healey Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge) went the extra mile for me and found the parts needed to repair my vehicle at another dealership and sent a driver to pick it up the parts and was able to return my vehicle to me on Friday 8/26/16 (a week and a day after purchasing the vehicle), if it was not for them I would still not have my vehicle back. I have been working with Chrysler Customer Assistance for some compensation for my aggravation and dissatisfaction with this vehicle, they have the absolute worst customer service ever! For the past week and a half I have been on the phone daily with them trying to get someone to help me and have been transferred on the phone to over a dozen different people that I was told were my âCase Managersâ only to leave a voicemail message that were never returned. I spent over an hour a day trying to get some satisfaction with no results. The only thing they were willing to offer me were some free oil changes which does not give me any satisfaction or piece of mind. We had a similar issue with a GM vehicle about 10 years ago but at least GM offered us a 5 year 100K mi. extended bumper-to-bumper warranty on the vehicle which was used just about once a month for a period of 3 years until we got rid of the vehicle. I requested similar compensation from Chrysler but was told they were not authorized to offer anything more to me than a few free oil changes! There customer service people are rude and have not respect for their customers, obviously Chrysler does not care about their customers at all! This is the second time I have had an issue with Chrysler/Jeep, I had a 2008 Jeep Liberty that had issues with a âSky-Slider Roofâ that had issues from the day we purchased it and Chrysler again gave me no assistance in covering the cost to repair it even though it was all over the internet that other customers had the same problems I was having, this was an obvious issue and like this valve body issue should have been recalled and covered by Chrysler.I am a very dissatisfied customer and will never purchase another Chrysler product even though I am a big fan of the Jeep brand!
First 2015 now 2016
I bought a 2015 GC Altitude and was really loving it until i was in a car accident after having it only 6 months and it was considered totaled. The damage didnt look like it was that bad....but since it bent the frame a little...it had to be totaled. NOW i bought a 2016 GC Altitude Overland because i wanted the added safety features.Honestly...I liked my 2015 Jeep better....this one has more gadgets but also annoying issues. Jeep in both models have crappy and cheap molding outlining the doors and windows.....on 2015, look like a plastic strip was coming off the window....on the 2016 a whole panel look like its coming off even before i took it home...so the dealer will fix it later.Braking on the 2015 was choppy but better on the 2016.2016 has an extended sunroof....sounds good but the shade not solid so it rattles when you close the door or hit a bump2016 has the engine stop feature...it can be annoying to have the engine cut off at every stop sign if you completely stop and another issue with that is that the AC compressor cuts off when that happens...so if you in an area where its hot as sweaty balls in a golf game....its gonna be real hot in that car....not to mention that means remote start to cool it off is a waste of time.Guess thats all ill say about it right now...over all im still really happy with it....im still happy with the brand but i would have rather my 2015 with less gadgets had been repaired....but they dont make vehicles the way they used to
