2017 F-150 Owner Reviews (1)
I would by mine again and recommend an F-150 to any truck person.

This is my first truck. Almost two years ago, I bought a 2017 F-150 XLT Sport 4x4 with the 6' bed and 3.5L Eco-boost engine and a slick top (the latter being the main reason I wanted the truck I bought) off a dealer's lot because I was going on vacation to the mountains and wanted it right away. It has the 36 gallon fuel tank, which lets me go a month between fill ups. There are a dizzying array of configurations for F-150. The XLT is only one jump up from the base XL. It listed for @ $52,000, and I paid @ $42,000, $10,170.00 off list, and got full value for my trade (It took the dealer a couple of months to sell it at @ $2,000 more than they gave me in trade). The XLT only comes with cloth seats, but they are comfortable and sporty and are wearing well (still like new). It has a great infotainment system and remote start and a huge console for storage. The only things I don't like are that the XLT line didn't offer a heated steering wheel, leather seats or child safety seat compatibility. The only problem I've had with it is that the locks freeze, which is a huge pain. I understand this is a widespread and well known problem which Ford hasn't addressed. The truck is solid, does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, rides nicely, handles precisely, and the ride height is great (my wife and I are in our 70s and we have no problem getting in and out using the step bars). Gas mileage is @ 17mpg overall (my driving is mostly local). It is a bit cumbersome to park in urban or suburban locations, but a little practice makes it easier. It has a backup camera which is really necessary. It's a truck, so you have to expect those things. You can pay 20 grand more for a higher end model with every conceivable option and not get that much more. The XLT is the best bang for the buck. If you want a truck, get an F-150. You will love it.
