2016 Sonata Plug-In Hybrid Owner Reviews (1)
We bought a Limited edition just 9 days ago. The almost daily commute is around 9.5 miles one way. With one extended trip out of the county, we have yet to reach even 1/2 empty gas tank. We plug the car into 110V every night, and it is fully charged the next morning. We are switching to an "Electric Vehicle" electrical plan through our Electricity utility, but they will not switch us until the next billing cycle. We are considering getting a home unit which plugs into 220V (like a dryer plug), and will do so in a few months. The car drives perfectly for our needs. We went through Consumer's Report (True Car) to save a bit more than $2,600 off the MSRP at a dealer in the next county, as our in-county Hyundai dealer was not a participant in that program. Plus we got 0% financing for 60 months + $1K off, and an additional $1K off for having a "competitive" vehicle. Our dealer only offered a 3rd party extended warranty, which we bought. But later found out that Hyundai does have its own extended warranty.
