2016 Grand Caravan Owner Reviews (2)
2015 Dodge Grand Caravan
Purchased this vehicle in March of 2015 to help transport my parents around since they no longer drive. At the time I owned a 2011 Ford Ranger as my daily driver but it was not capable of moving them around. I purchased the Caravan because I still do a lot of do it yourself projects at home and needed some capability to do some light hauling. The fold flat seating arrangement allows me to use it for hauling duties as needed. I now have 12,000 miles on it and average over 20 miles to the gallon in mostly city driving. My Ford Ranger only averaged 14 miles to the gallon under the same conditions. It has also never burned a drop of oil between oil changes. I change the oil and rotate the tires every 6000 miles. It has plenty of get up and go and merges into traffic just fine. The only regret I have is I wished I had leather seats but good quality seat covers work just fine. I have had no problems with this van other than a recall on a malfunction on the passenger side air vent but this was repaired when I had the van serviced. Overall I am satisfied with this van. I only gave it 4 stars because I miss 4 wheel drive and it is not available on this van. The Toyoda van has available AWD but it would have cost me over $10,000 more than what I had paid for the Dodge.
Nothing but problems since purchase in November 2015. Recurring "no bus" code, all warning lights come on (including air bag light!), lose power to all doors, no turn signal, windshield wipers come on and don't turn off. Multiple service attempts and problem not resolved. Keep trying for car but back with 800 number and keep getting sent to resolution center. Do not feel safe in this vehicle, especially with 4 kids. Regret this purchase. Definitely do not feel safe.
