2016 Acura RLX

As the dynamic flagship for the Acura Division, the Acura RLX is one of the most sophisticated touring sedans on the road, blending smooth power and responsive handling with cutting-edge technologies and luxurious appointments. The front-wheel drive RLX is powered by a 310-hp 3.5-liter direct fuel injected V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM); VCM helps improve fuel efficiency by operating on one bank of three cylinders when less engine power is required. It is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Agile Handling Assist and Amplitude-Reactive Dampers enhance handling characteristics, while a Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) system features the world's first independent left/right rear-wheel steering-angle control system, for excellent handling and stability at varying speeds. Every RLX is outfitted with 19-inch aluminum wheels, "Jewel Eye" LED headlights and a power moonroof; interior comforts include heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, HD/satellite radio, hard-drive internal media storage, USB port, voice-activated navigation with AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic, HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity/audio streaming and smartphone compatability. Other items offered consist of leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel and Krell premium audio, as well as remote engine start and power-folding side mirrors. Safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with integrated traction control and seven airbags; a Multi-View Rear Camera, Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are also standard. The RLX can be outfitted with additional safety-related technologies such as front and rear parking sensors, a Blind Spot Information (BSI) system, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with heads-up warning. The Acura RLX carries over with minimal changes for 2016. The aluminum wheels have been upgraded to 19-inch (vs. 18-inch in 2015), and the voice-activated navigation system is now standard.
