2015 Toyota Prius c
The Toyota Prius c is one of the newest additions to the Prius family, expanding a lineup of gas-electric hybrid vehicles that has set the standard for environmentally-friendly transportation. This subcompact front-wheel drive, five-door hatchback delivers comfort, excellent fuel economy and low emissions in an urban-friendly size. The Prius c is available in four trim levels: Prius c One, Prius c Two, Prius c Three and Prius c Four. All trim levels employ Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive, a hybrid powertrain technology that unites a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gasoline engine with a powerful electric drive motor to generate 99 combined horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) with three selectable drive modes is standard. Every Prius c is equipped with 15-inch wheels, LED headlights, automatic climate control, Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity/music streaming, a 6.1-inch touchscreen display and a USB port; additional trim-dependent features include a power moonroof, aluminum wheels, LED fog lights, Smart Key entry system with push button start, heated front seats, SofTex seat trim, satellite/HD radio, smartphone integration and a voice-activated navigation system. Standard safety technologies include anti-lock brakes with brake assist, vehicle stability/traction control, and a Vehicle Proximity Notification System (VPNS), as well as nine airbags; an integrated backup camera is also available. Hybrid-related components are backed by an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty. The Prius c is redesigned for 2015, with a sportier look, LED headlights, and upgraded interior materials, as well as enhanced standard and optional features.
