Not having a good day. Have 2014 Jeep Cherokee just out of warranty, and paid for circ Dec 2018 with 65,000 easy city miles on it, made all maintenance benchmarks regular oil changes etc (babied). Started having mysterious transmission problems. Took to dealer and told today that the whole transmission needs to be replaced at a cost of $5900. I will not buy another Jeep for any reason. i was a previous Volvo and Toyota owner. Will explore the Toyota SUV next.

This car is quiet, comfortable, economical and fun to drive. I get 34 MPG on the highway at 70 MPH. There is never insuficient power with the I 4 engine. The only problem was two computer programs were mismatched. Once that was fixed, everything worked fine in the car and so far continues to be just fine. Fit and finish are first rate. The other cars I tried in this category were noisy, rough riding, and not as comfortable. It was an easy choice for me.
Jeep Trailhawk 4x4

I recently purchased the Trailhawk and this by far is the most comfortable, reliable SUV out on the road. In response to CR stating that a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is the most reliable SUV and a Jeep Cherokee falls in its least reliable category, but then again in the same review they state about the Cherokee "If you don't have any need to venture too far off the beaten path, perhaps another, more reliable small utility vehicle would serve you better." First how can be it more reliable if it can't go to far off the beaten path. lol So which one would you take to the Rubicon? I guess you get what you pay for. I will take a Jeep any day of the week.
2014 Cherokee Limited

I have had my Jeep for nearly a year and I love it. The gas mileage around town is outstanding, 25 mpg and yet offers the space I needed with a small suv. I have not had this vehicle for anything but scheduled regular maintenance. I had read many reviews giving this vehicle a bad name, I totally disagree. Prior to this vehicle, I had always driven General Motors, but decided to try another American born car company and am completely satisfied.
Trail Hawk - Top of the line

Well I have a 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk. Got it with 8 miles on it. Now have had it a little over 2 months and 3,000 miles. What a nice vehicle!! The reviews say that if you want the really smooth ride, to get the Limited, I can't imagine a better ride than I'm getting. I love the 1/2 leather - 1/2 cloth seats. The large U-connect Screen is great and the added small info screen between the Tach and speedo is great! Gas mileage is unbelievably good. I'm getting 26 mpg combined since I've owned it. - 70% Hwy / 30% city. At 3,000 miles, I have zero negative things to say about the vehicle and can only say if you're considering a Trail Hawk - GET IT - you won't regret it!
