2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid
Building on the dynamic RLX flagship, the Acura RLX Sport Hybrid adds Acura's new three-motor advanced hybrid system and exclusive electric Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD). The all-wheel drive RLX Sport Hybrid is offered in two grade levels: Technology and Advance. Both feature a 3.5-liter direct fuel injected V6 engine paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with built-in motor generator; combined with two rear electric motors powering the rear wheels, they produce a net system output of 377 horsepower. The RLX Sport Hybrid with Technology Package is outfitted with 19-inch noise-reducing aluminum wheels, "Jewel Eye" LED headlights, LED fog lights and a power moonroof; interior comforts include heated front seats, leather upholstery and tri-zone automatic climate control, as well as voice-activated navigation, HD/satellite radio, hard-drive internal media storage, a USB port, HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity/audio streaming and "Aha" compatibility for smartphones. The Advance Package is further outfitted with heated/ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a custom-tailored Krell high-end sound system, along with a power rear sunshade and manual rear side sunshades. Safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with integrated traction control, and seven airbags; a Multi-View Rear Camera, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Information (BSI) system and a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with heads-up warning are also standard. Additional safety-related technologies can be found on the Advance trim level, including front and rear parking sensors, a Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). The Acura RLX Sport Hybrid is all-new for 2014.
