2012 FJ Cruiser Overview

The Land Rover LR2 is all new for 2008 and takes the place of the Freelander as the lowest priced vehicle in the Land Rover family.The Forenza comes as a five-passenger sedan or wagon. Its engine, generating up to 127 horsepower and 131 lb.-ft. of torque, is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that is mated to either a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission. Safety features for all models include front and side-impact airbags, and four-wheel disc brakes. Air conditioning, CD-player with MP3/WMA playback, auxiliary input jack, power windows, door locks, and heated outside mirrors are standard.The Toyota FJ Cruiser, with styling cues reminiscent of Toyota's famed FJ40 4x4 utility vehicle, blends off-road legacy with modern power, comfort, safety, and convenience technology.The FJ Cruiser is available in one trim with a choice of three drivetrains: a rear-wheel-drive version equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission, a part-time four-wheel-drive version with a five-speed automatic transmission, or a full-time four-wheel-drive version with a six-speed manual transmission. All versions are powered by a 259 hp 4.0-liter V-6 engine. The FJ Cruiser seats up to five passengers. Safety features include Toyota's STAR Safety System that includes vehicle stability control, traction control, and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist. Dual-stage front airbags, side-curtain and front-seat side airbags, and front active headrests are standard.The 2012 FJ Cruiser is a carryover from 2011.The Land Rover LR2 is an entry-level luxury SUV designed to provide superior off-road capabilities and classic Land Rover creature comforts.Power comes from a 230-hp, 3.2-liter inline six cylinder engine that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive system with Land Rover's unique "Terrain Response" system.
