The GMC Sierra 1500 offers fuel economy, capability and performance in a broad lineup that includes everything from job-ready Work Truck to the well-appointed Denali. It is available in a wide array of bed sizes, wheelbases, drive types and cab sizes, and trim levels. There are four engine sizes to choose from: 4.3-liter V6, 4.8-liter V8, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8; and two transmissions: a four-speed automatic and a six-speed automatic. Properly equipped, the Sierra 1500 can provide a payload capacity of up to 1937 lbs and tow up to 10,700 lbs. A wide variety of suspension, towing, entertainment, comfort and convenience packages are available. For 2012, Hill Start Assist and trailer sway control are now standard on all trims, and SLE and SLT have a new standard chrome grille surround with chrome horizontal bars.
