Dodge RAM extended cab 4 X 4 2013
My son inherited a 2013 Dodge truck when his father died from cancer. A year or so later he was driving back from Cleveland, OH to Erie, Pa on I-90 and the dash lights started flashing so he stopped to check the engine and found it to be on fire. He got the fire out, but when he tried to restart the truck it would not start( around two AM). So he had to leave it on the interstate and hitch a ride home. The police seen the truck and had it towed to the impound yard, when my son went to get it the guard said it caught on fire again around five o'clock n the morning. Truck no longer any good, can't even repair!!!!!! Dodge would do nothing about it, he just wanted a 2013 replacement truck for the one that burn up!!!!!!!!! We figured the computer on the engine shorted out and caught the truck on fire!!!!!! JUNK TRUCKS!!!!!!

I bought this truck used in 2014 with 20,000 miles. Fully loaded very comfortable. I have several diesel Dodge trucks in my company. The 2012 has 47,000 miles on it now and the entire AC system went out. The truck is at Putanm Dodge in Burlingame CA. The dealer says the AC compressor connector shorted, and fried the entire AC electronic, board and compressor. So far the repair is at $3000 plus and Dodge is refusing to cover any part of the repair. Its a great truck, but i am besides myself upset. There is no pride in they're product, or loyalty to a loyal customer. I have five other Dodge trucks in my company, and I will slowly replace every one with a Toyota or Ford. My 2012 Ford Raptor has 124,000 miles and not a single issue. Sad state of american craftsmanship.

I just purchased this truck and so far am pleased with it. I have not found any faults yet, everything has just been perfect. My around the town milage (according to the onboard computer) is right around 13 mpg. I have yet to do much highway but know it will be better than city.. The one thing I noticed that I was suprised it was missing in a truck that has everything else and costs over $50K is a set of rear mud flaps or better yet a single wide mud flap accross the whole back wheels.. This truck throws up a lot of spray in the rain, and picks up rocks in the tires easily.. You can hear them fly out when you get up to speed.. So having something on the fron and back is definately on my to do list. The 6 cyl. Cummins from all reviews is a bullet proof motor.. It's suppose to be the best thing since sliced bread.. I know there are a whole bunck of aftermarket upgrades that can be done to this motor, however I am not inclined to be doing anything to my truck while it is in warenty. I do find it a bit sluggish as compared to the Ford V-8. But, not sluggish enough to justify spending $10,000 more for the Ford! (I upgraded from a F-250 with a powerstroke in it). The Nav system works great, as does all the electronics.. I am so far a happy camper.. When I purchase my fifth wheel camper soon I will let you know how this truck preforms under some real weight! Stay tuned for further more long term reports as I put more miles on this truck....
