2010 Dodge Caliber

The Dodge Caliber is a fun, well-rounded package, combining the versatility of a sport utility vehicle with the value and fuel-efficiency of a compact car. The front-wheel drive Caliber is currently available in one Mainstreet "lifestyle" trim, outfitted with a 158-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Caliber Mainstreet is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, air conditioning, cruise control, CD player with MP3 capability, satellite radio, iPod control and UConnect wireless connectivity. Popular options include a power sunroof, a Driver Convenience Group that includes heated front seats and a universal garage door opener, and a multimedia centre boasting a hard drive-based navigation system with 30 gigabytes of internal memory, a touch-screen LCD display and DVD video capability. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, front airbags, an inflatable driver knee blocker, and side curtain airbags for front and rear occupants; an electronic stability control system, including traction control and brake assist, is available. New for 2010, active anti-whiplash front head restraints are now standard. For 2010, the Dodge Caliber gets a redesigned interior, including a restyled instrument panel with center storage bin, extended chrome accents and upgraded soft-touch materials on the door panels and center armrest. Additionally, the 148-hp 1.8-liter engine is no longer available, and the model lineup has been simplified to one trim level.
