2009 Cadillac SRX

2009 SRX Photos
Cadillac's 2009 SRX is available in two basic flavors: V8 and V6. Both engines offer variable valve timing and can be mated to an optional all-wheel-drive system. The base trim uses GM's excellent 255-horsepower "high feature" 3.6L V6 engine. Cadillac has really spent some time fine-tuning the suspension of both SRX models, and it shows. Upgrade to the Northstar 4.6L V8, and power output increases to 320 hp.

Choose the optional Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension, and handling goes from very good to outstanding, as this SUV feels tight and responsive around turns, giving it a cornering feel on par with INFINITI's FX or the BMW X5. At the same time, the highway ride remains smooth and comfortable. The feel and responsiveness of the steering and brakes impress as well.

The convenience option list is extensive on the SRX, including sport packages with 18-inch or 20-inch wheels and tires, premium seating, a theater package that includes a rear seat DVD player, high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps and an "Ultraview" panoramic sunroof.
