RL 4dr Sedan
2007 Bentley Arnage
The Bentley Arnage's engine lineup has been revised, with more power for 2007. The 6.75L engine in R and RL models has been uprated to 450 horsepower, while the twin-turbocharged version in the T now makes 500 horsepower. Both engines are matched with a new six-speed automatic, which has a wider range of gear ratios, for better performance and more relaxed cruising. It has a sport mode, and also a semi-automatic mode that allows manual gear selection. The Arnage T, which is the high-performance flagship for the line, can now reach a 179-mph top speed, while the R and RL can reach 168 mph. The twin-turbo engine in the T makes an astounding 738 lb-ft of torque, enough for effortless passing without extra downshifts. The RL is about ten inches longer than the R and T, which brings increased rear legroom and makes it the top choice for those who are leaving the driving to a chauffeur. Inside, all Arnages are loaded with luxury features and fully customizable with materials and other features as needed by the buyer. There's a new hide-trimmed gear lever with chrome bezel, and an attractive new thin-film information display, while the rest of the interior is appointed in prime leather and wood veneers.Side air bags and head-protecting air bags are standard on the Arnage, along with an electronic stability control system that has for 2007 been recalibrated for less intrusive operation, allowing more enthusiastic driving before intervening.Showy 19-inch six-spoke wheels are available for the R and RL models, and 19-inch, five-spoke sport wheels are optional on the Arnage T.
