The Grand Marquis offers almost all the comfort and convenience of the Lincoln Town Car, and it's priced lower than many luxury mid-size cars. The Grand Marquis is one of two sedans sold in the US that can seat up to six people. It is available in four trims: GS, GS Convenience, LS Premium and LS Ultimate. The standard engine is a 224 hp 4.6-liter V-8 and a more powerful 239 hp 4.6-liter V-8 with dual exhausts comes with the handling package. Both engine types are controlled by a four-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include all-disc antilock brakes; optional side-impact airbags and all-speed traction control. For 2006, the Mercury Grand Marquis gets some minimal trim changes.
