2006 Mazda3 Owner Reviews (3)
Mazda 3 Hatchback
This is the most fun I've ever had driving a car! It is stylish, sporty, and speedy. I got the Grand Touring package with leather interior and 5 speed transmission. The only drawback is the front seats are not comfortable if you want to recline them and take a nap. Something about the headrests. I get about 28 miles per gallon.
I really can't comment on the Mazda 3 Sedan, but I definitely can on the Mazda 6 Wagon. I had one for about a year and I absolutely loved it. I loved it even more after someone plowed into the back of it while I was driving down the interstate. The back end was crumpled all the way past the muffler and the back windows were busted out, but I got out with NO SERIOUS INJURIES (just a strained back). Even though it was totaled, the car was excellent as far as keeping me safe. I didn't even have bruises anywhere. I have only seen one other Mazda 6 Wagon around here, and I can't understand why. In my opinion, they are FANTASTIC cars. C.Bright
Review of 2006 Mazda Mazda3
In 2006 an intoxicated femal totaled my Jeep Grand Cheroke at 4:00 AM while my Jeep was parked on the street. With the upward trend in gas prices and no real need for a SUV, I looked at smalled more gas efficient vehicles. In 1981, I bought a Mazda RX-7 and loved the car. I thought about the RX-8 but was not overly impressed. Interestingly, I drove the Mazda 3 thinking that the 30 + MPG would be great. I became a believer in the "zoom-zoom" ad. The Mazda 3 handles very well and the 2.3 liter engine flies over the hills and mountains without a care. I submit that my purchase gave me a huge economic payback as I have realized a net gain of 17 MPG over my Jeep without the loss of any comfort.
