2006 Mazda MPV

The Mazda MPV is Mazda's fully-customizable minivan. Compared to competitors, the MPV has slightly smaller overall dimensions, which have made it popular because it is easier to drive and park. The MPV has four doors with two sliding doors for rear passengers. It can commute up to seven people with four bucket seats and a rear bench that can fold down into the floor. It comes available in 3 trims, the LX, the SV and the ES. Power comes from a standard 200-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers a reasonable 18-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway and a five speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Safety features include side-impact airbags, Slope Control, which controls transmission shifts to overcome steep hills, and the front seat seatbelts include pretensioners. For 2006, changes are insignificant.
