The GMC Sierra 2500 HD is the more powerfully equipped version of the Sierra 2500. Available only as a Crew Cab with a 6-foot-6-inch bed, the 2500HD hauls 3,293 pounds with two-wheel drive, 3,639 pounds with four-wheel drive, and tows 15,300 pounds. Power is provided by the same 8.1-liter V-8 that is available in the Sierra 3500. Because of its short bed, the 2500HD rides more smoothly than the other heavy-duty trucks. A five-speed manual, an Allison 5 speed automatic, or a four-speed automatic transmission is offered. Standard features include ABS, air conditioning, cruise control, AM/FM/CD audio, an attractive chrome grille molding, a chrome rear step bumper, and 17-inch chromed steel wheels. Changes for 2006 are minimal. Full Review
