Sophisticated and tough on the outside, thoughtfully comfortable within, with plenty of power under the hood and an imposing range of safety and convenience features, The Ford F-250 is the industry pacesetter for trucks, and for good reason. The F-250 is a three-quarter ton version, full-size pickup truck. It comes in three trims: XL, XLT, and Lariat. Its body style is available in a regular cab, four-door SuperCab with suicide doors, or a four-door Crew Cab with four full-size doors. Optional wheelbases go from 137-inches to 172.4-inches. Three engine options are available: 300 hp 5.4-liter Triton V-8; 362 hp 6.8-liter V-10; and 325 hp Power Stroke 6.0-liter turbo-diesel V-8. They are all controlled by a standard six-speed manual transmission, and a five-speed automatic is optional. Rear- and four-wheel drive is available on Super Duty pickups. For 2006, the Ford F-250 sees minimal changes.
