2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 SS

The Chevrolet Silverado still stands tall among a superb new crop of full-size pickups. Roomy cabins, comfortable seats, a comfortable ride, and powerful engines make the Silverado a great work truck. The 1500 SS (Super Sport) is the performance version of the Silverado. It comes standard with a sporty chassis, 20-inch tires and a powerful 345 hp 6.0-liter V-8. The engine is controlled by a five-speed manual transmission. A more sporty and aggressive stance separates the SS from the regular Silverado. A two-wheel drive version of the SS along with a four-wheel drive version are available. Safety features include antilock brakes and front airbags. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 SS is a carryover from 2005.
