It is powered by a specially tuned 500 hp 5.0-liter V-10 engine. To save gas and provide a more urban driving experience a button can be pushed that limits the engine's horsepower to 400. The engine is controlled by a seven-speed sequential manual transmission. The BMW M6 is brand new for 2006.
