Best Vehicle I Ever Owned

I purchased the Tundra in March of 2001 and I used it for for work, travel and play. I just pasted 350,000 miles and other than 3 power packs and catalytic converters I have just done routine maintence; tires, tune ups and brakes. It rides as good as any luxury car and stays between 17 and 20 miles per gallon. Other than road dings the paint still looks new and the leather seats have held up well to millions of in and outs during its lifetime. It is the most economical vehicle I have ever seen if you keep it for the long haul. I am going for a half a million miles.
Best truck I ever owned

Purchased my first new full size pickup in 1959, Chevy. After that I bought a new Chev. P/U about every four years. Until 1993 when I went the Ford route. We also, had and do now, own passenger cars and the smaller P/Us but I need a large 4X4 too since I spend a lot of time in a remote area of Alaska, I get there by road and often I have a large load of supplies and materials to take with me. Originally I would purchase the Chev 20 4x4 here in Alaska but started going to Seattle and driving it up. It got to the point I almost needed to buy two new Chevs in SEA, towing one, because there was so many defects I could barely make the drive with one truck without it breaking down. Finally gave up and purchased the Ford, 250, 4X4. Worst vehicle I ever owned. My shop mechanic friend, a Ford man, said I did indeed get a lemon. Since we already had Toyota and Nissan vehicles, including small P/Us and were well aware of their reliability I had my eye on the Toyota full size when it hit the market. Holy Smoke, what I truck. I havenâÂÂt had to get towed now for years, so nice. Nor have I had the Tundra in for any maintenance other than routine and IâÂÂm going on 80 K. It is very important for me to have a reliable truck since my wilderness place is 311 miles from Anchorage and the last sixty miles of it is on an old secluded railroad bed located in the middle of the nationâÂÂs largest national park. In other words, the middle of nowhere.

I purchased the truck new. It now has over 146K. This truck has been sweet. I had to replaced the transmission(believe my friend torn it out-Fishing holes that you can not get to-not a friend anylonger) anyways, I just replaced the timing belt, etc. water pump, and brakes. Still rides like a charm. No problems really. Thats about all I can say..I love it...I am a woman too.
