Overview

The Toyota Prius Prime is a plug-in electric hybrid that sets the standard for environmentally-friendly transportation. This five-door liftback delivers comfort, value and a smooth ride, as well as impressive fuel economy and low emissions. The Prius is available in three grades ? LE, XLE and Limited. The Prius is available in four grades ? L, LE, XLE and Limited. All trim levels employ hybrid powertrain technology that unites a 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gasoline engine with a powerful electric drive motor to generate 121 combined horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT), with selectable Normal and Power driving modes, is standard. Trim-dependent equipment includes: 15- and 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, passive entry/start, automatic climate control, heated front seats, eco-friendly SofTex upholstery, HD/satellite radio, a 7-inch touchscreen audio display and Bluetooth wireless connectivity/music streaming, along with voice-activated navigation and smartphone integration. Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes with brake assist, vehicle stability/traction control and a rear backup monitor, as well as eight airbags and Toyota Safety Sense. The Prius Prime gets updates to the safety features for 2021.
