2021 Chevrolet Express 2500 LT Rear-Wheel Drive Passenger Van

Overview

The Chevrolet rear-wheel drive Express 2500 passenger and cargo vans provide a rugged and durable means of transporting several passengers or a large payload of cargo. The Chevrolet Express comes in 2500 Series and heavy-duty 3500 models. Wheelbase options come in regular (135-inch) and extended (155-inch) sizes. Seating accommodations are available for eight, 12 or 15 people. Towing is also a strength for the Express Van models, with trailer ratings ranging up to 7,400 pounds. Three different engines are offered for the 2020 Express vans. The base engine is a 4.3L V6 that makes 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. The optional upgrade is a 6.6L V8 making 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft or torque paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Duramax 2.8L turbo-diesel 4-cylinder engine is diminutive but makes 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. It is available on all Express vans. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, auxiliary power outlets, a driver information center, 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, and an AM/FM radio. LT models step up to rear air conditioning, a rear auxiliary heater, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, cruise control, remote keyless entry and power windows. Optional safety features include Side Blind Zone Alert, Forward Collision Alert and Rear Park Assist. Popular optional packages include a Safety package, Enhanced Convenience Package, Driver Convenience Package, Chrome Appearance Package and Cold Climate Package. For 2021, Chevrolet Express gets a new heavy duty 6.6L L8T V8 gasoline engine, replacing the previous 6.0 LC8 V8 and the 6.0L L96 V8. This newly developed engine is used in Chevrolet?s Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks, it is capable of 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. Other than the changes in powertrains, there are no other significant alterations.
