Overview

The 2020 Ford Ranger has returned to the mid-size pickup truck market. The new, sharp looking Ranger is available in either a rear-wheel (4x2) or four-wheel drive (4x4) configuration, with two body styles - Super Cab and Crew Cab. The Super Cab has a six-foot pickup box while the Crew Cabs have a five-foot box. All Ford Rangers come with a potent 270-hp, 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that produces 310 lb.-ft. of torque mated to an efficient 10-speed automatic SelectShift transmission. The Super Cab can seat up to four passengers while the Crew Cab can seat five. All models offer an XL, an XLT or the top of the line Lariat trim. Safety features on all Rangers include: electronic stability control with traction control, 4-wheel disc ABS brakes, six airbags and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection. The XL trim includes projector beam halogen headlamps, 16-inch steel wheels, manually adjustable front cloth bucket seats, manual air conditioning, AM/FM stereo radio, Bluetooth, FordPass Connect, three 12-volt power outlets, one USB port and power door locks and windows. The XLT trim adds to the XL's standard equipment by including power exterior door mirrors, auto high beam and front fog lights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, premium cloth seats, automatic climate control, SiriusXM satellite radio, SYNC 3, cruise control, remote keyless entry, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear window with defrost, Ford Co-Pilot360 safety features including Lane Keeping Assist, blind spot sensors and forward collision warning. The Lariat trim adds to the XLT's standard equipment by including heated power-folding exterior door mirrors, LED low and high beam headlamps, 18-inch machined aluminum wheels, power-operated heated front leather seats, proximity key with push button start, front and rear parking sensors and a sliding rear window with defrost. For 2020, the Ford Ranger is a rollover.
