Overview

The Subaru Forester is a compact crossover vehicle that blends the best attributes of a sport-utility vehicle with the ride and driving dynamics of a car. It offers the capability of Symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive, as well as a versatile rear cargo area with liftgate, underfloor storage and up to 76 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The Forester is powered by a 182-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a seven-speed CVT transmission. Trim specific standard equipment includes 17- or 18-inch aluminum wheels, a Panoramic power sunroof, heated mirrors, LED headlights, daytime running and front fog lights, heated front seats, automatic climate control, SiriusXM HD satellite radio, Aha internet radio, Bluetooth, a 6.5- 8-inch touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. Safety features such as seven airbags, a rear view camera, stability control and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and hill hold control and the EyeSight safety system which includes Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Pre-Collision Braking and Sway Warning Alert are standard across all trims. The Limited trim comes with Blind Spot Detection and a Rear Cross Traffic Alert, while the Touring trim gets Blind Spot Detection, Reverse Automatic Braking and a DriverFocus alert. The Subaru Forester is completely redesigned for 2019.
