Overview

The Kia Sportage is renowned for being an affordable compact SUV. It offers a comprehensive set of safety features, excellent versatility, and tremendous value. The Sportage is a five passenger vehicle that is offered in front-wheel or all-wheel drive. A 181-hp 2.4-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine is standard for all but SX models. The SX features a turbocharged 2.0-liter making 240-hp with FWD and 237-hp with AWD. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, with the SX adding steering wheel mounted shift paddles. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic stability program, rear camera, hill assist, downhill brake control, security system and six airbags. Power heated and ventilated leather front seats, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, satellite radio, navigation system, Bi-Xenon headlights, harman/kardon audio lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, HomeLink, panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, wireless phone charger and LED fog lights are just some of the trim specific features available. For 2019, the YES Essentials cloth trim is no longer available.
