Overview

The Hyundai Sonata is a four-door, five-passenger sedan designed to compete with the Accord and Camry. The Sonata is available in SE, ECO, SEL, Limited, Sport or Limited or Limited 2.0T trims, it's powered by one of three four-cylinder engines, a 178-hp 1.6-liter with a seven-speed automatic transmission, a 185-hp 2.4-liter mated to a six-speed automatic transmission or a 245-hp 2.0-liter paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Trim specific standard equipment include 16- or 17-inch aluminum wheels, a power sunroof, LED daytime running lights, heated front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, a 7-inch touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Safety features such as seven airbags, a rear view camera, a low tire pressure warning system, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) with Lane Change Assist (LCA), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) are available. The Sonata carries over with minimal changes for 2019.
