Overview

The 2019 GMC Terrain is a boldly styled five-passenger crossover SUV engineered with passenger comfort in mind. A long wheelbase and wide tracks contribute to car-like ride and handling traits while reducing body roll for a safe, stable driving experience. The Terrain is offered in SL, SLE, SLE Diesel, SLT, SLT Diesel and Denali trim levels in front or all-wheel drive. It is powered by a 1.5-litre Turbo four-cylinder engine with 170-hp on the SLE, 2.0-litre Turbo four-cylinder engine with 252-hp on the SLT and Denali and a 1.6-litre Turbo four-cylinder engine with 102-hp on the SLE and SLT Diesel. The diesel engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission while the gas engines include direct injection and are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that helps to maximize efficiency. Standard features, depending on trim, include Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, navigation, SiriusXM, OnStar 4G LTE, HD radio, Bose sound system, heated and cooled driver and passenger seats with memory for the driver seat and exterior mirrors, heated steering wheel and hands-free liftgate. Available features include rear seat infotainment system with DVD, Universal Tablet Holder, Skyscape sunroof, high definition digital surround vision, IntelliBeam auto high beam headlamp control and 19-inch gloss black painted aluminum wheels. Standard safety features, depending on trim, include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control systems, six airbags, OnStar, Automatic Parking Assist, high definition digital rear vision camera and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking are also available. For 2019, the Terrain carries-over with minimal changes.
