Overview

The Volkswagen Jetta is the least expensive German sedan in the North American market. Currently in its sixth generation, the Jetta seeks to provide something for everyone, with a wide range of powertrains and feature-laden trim levels. The front-wheel drive Jetta offers three direct-injection turbocharged engine choices - a 150-hp 1.4-liter four-cylinder, a 170-hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder, and a 210-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Available transmissions include a five-speed manual, six-speed Tiptronic automatic, or a six-speed dual-clutch (DSG) automatic with paddle shifters. Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: power sunroof, 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lamps, fog lights, heated front seats, leatherette upholstery and dual-zone automatic climate control, as well as a 6.3-inch touchscreen display, HD/satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless phone/music streaming, USB port, smartphone integration and a voice-activated navigation system. Safety features found on every Jetta are comprised of four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, electronic stability/traction control systems and a rearview camera, along with six air bags. Other available technologies include Front Assist emergency braking, front/rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert. For 2018, new Wolfsburg Edition and SE Sport trims join the Jetta line-up, offering expanded value and features. Additionally, all models will come with the People First Warranty - a transferable six-year/72,000-mile bumper-to-bumper new vehicle limited warranty.
