Overview

The Volkswagen Beetle is now in it's third generation and has been designed as a modern interpretation of the original Beetle that respects the past and looks forward to the future. The Volkswagen Beetle is a front-wheel drive, four-seater in either a hatchback or convertible body powered by a 174-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a six-speed automatic. Available in four trims - S, Coast, SE, Dune, they are all standard with front and side-impact airbags, first and second row curtain airbags in the hatchback, rear view camera, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, and daytime running lights. Blind spot detection with rear traffic alert and automatic headlights are standard on Coast and SE while Park Pilot is standard on the Dune. For 2018, a new 2.0-litre engine replaces the previous 1.8-litre, and a new Coast trim has been added to the line-up.
