Overview

The Tacoma is Toyota's compact pick-up truck offering - just the right size for all but the most serious contractor. Toyota Tacoma is available in Access Cab (extended cab) and Double Cab (crew cab) body styles, in either two- or four-wheel drive. Access Cabs come with six-foot beds; Double Cabs have the choice of a shorter five-foot bed or a standard-size six-footer. The base engine is a 159-hp 2.7-liter four cylinder mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic. A 278-hp 3.5-liter V6 is available as an upgrade on most models. The V6 is paired with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, vehicle stability control, traction control, side-impact/side curtain airbags, and active headrests. Voice-activated navigation system, dual zone automatic climate control, heated front leather seats, JBL premium audio and a power sunroof are just some of the available features. The Tacoma remains unchanged for 2018.
