Overview

The Subaru Forester is a compact crossover vehicle that blends the best attributes of a sport-utility vehicle with the ride and driving dynamics of a car. It offers the capability of Symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive, as well as a versatile rear cargo area with liftgate, underfloor storage and up to 74 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The Forester is powered by by one of two engines the first engine is a 170-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed CVT transmission, the second engine is a 250-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with an eight-speed CVT transmission. Trim specific standard equipment includes 18- or 20-inch aluminum wheels, a power sunroof, heated mirrors, heated front seats, automatic climate control, SiriusXM satellite radio, Aha internet radio, Bluetooth, a 7-inch touchscreen display and smart device connectivity. Safety features such as seven airbags, a rear view camera, stability control and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and hill hold control are standard. The Limited trim comes standard with Blind Spot Detection and a Rear Cross Traffic Alert while the Touring trim adds the Blind Spot Warning System as well as the EyeSight Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Pre-Collision Braking and Reverse Automatic Braking. The 2018 Subaru Forester carries over with minimal changes for 2018.
